Welcome to Product Launch Month..!!
I don’t know if you have noticed it in your email but I have sure seen it in mine. Every morning I have another announcement from someone letting me know that their product launch will start in a couple of weeks or sooner.
Just in the last two weeks alone I have been invited to jump on board no less than 12 different products that are being released this month. I have never seen so many new ebooks, software or online courses thrown at the internet at one time. It really makes me think that there should be some kind of “calendar of events” that these folks could put their name down and be allocated to a particular date. If there is, I have never seen or heard of it.
Anyway, one of the thoughts that came to me was, “I wonder if any of these marketers are family men and women?” The reason I asked myself this was I wanted to know how many of their list are at home or on vacation. We have to remember that the kids are off school for the summer and when my daughter was younger you wouldn’t find us at home. We were either gone camping or up at the cabin on the lake for 3 to 5 weeks. Most of the lake area that our spot was at did not have internet access and therefore I was out of access until I was back to the city.
It would be interesting to find out how many full time marketers do have vacation time with their families when they are planning a product launch. I am sure they all do..haha. Given the income that these folks have the potential of making, you might think that the product launch would take priority. After all, promising the family a trip to Hawaii or Disneyland instead of a musky old tent would be more than enough to get the family to wait a few weeks to start the vacation.
I would be amiss not to mention that probably the biggest and most talked about product launch this month is Don Crowther’s Social Profit Formula. By now everyone has probably watched all of his videos and heard about his $5,000 promise. If not, climb out of the rock you have been under the last few days and check your email. Just to confirm, I am not mentioning this product launch because I get anything, as far as I know this is a solo deal with Crother, although, Jeff Johnson and Mike Filsaime may be involved somehow as I have been sent a ton of email from them as well.
